Former tough guy actor, Sonny Landham, is collecting signatures to get on the ballot to run in Kentucky to become their next U.S. Senator.  Landham is running as a Libertarian.

Landham now lives in northeastern Kentucky and says his “tough guy” movie career is behind him.

His characters included Billy Bear in “48 Hours” and a man killed by an alien in “Predator.”

Landham calls incumbent Republican Senator Mitch McConnell “Boss Hogg” and says Democratic challenger Bruce Lunsford “an elitist.”

Actors and sports stars have been able to transcend their fame into politics on many levels, including the governorship of California, but I don’t see Landham winning over the people of Kentucky as the Libertarian candidate.
