Model Ruslana Korshunova commitd suicide by jumping nine stories to her death on Saturday according to NYC medical examiners.
The supermodel who fell nine stories to her death on Saturday committed suicide, the NYC medical examiner has ruled.
The cause of death was blunt impact injuries, says the ME. Ruslana Korshunova’s body was found on Water Street in the financial district on Saturday afternoon.
Sadly her decision to take her life was probably due to drugs or the stresses that the modeling industry puts on a woman’s body and mind.

Had she been started on any prescription drugs, SSRI’S such as Prozac, Lexapro, Paxil etc. ? Someone should autopsy and see what is in her system. These drugs especially when starting, stopping, or changing doses cause hypomania, akathasia which is extreme motor restlessness and agitation, and suicide ideation.
How exactly has it been determined that her death was due to drugs/drug abuse?
There is seemingly evidence that her “suicide” theory is circumstantial and that perhaps not all the physical evidence is 100% conclusive.
As for her angst over her situation within the modeling industry that is not exactly accurate. She was supposedly solidly booked this season and as a cover girl, and face of Nina Ricci, was finally beginning to return her agency’s investment in her future. She was one of the few who was going to actually make it.
Another thing, I am HORRIFIED that IMG Model Management, one of the world’s top 5 agencies, wouldn’t even pay to have her body sent home to Kazakhstan. After all the money she earned for them, SHAME ON YOU!
There is the also the issue, as reported in PRAVDA, that she had been defrauded of $500,000 in earnings by an agency. If that is true, then perhaps her death looks less like suicide and warrants further investigation.
