Swimmer Eric Shanteau to Compete with Testicular Cancer

American swimmer Eric Shanteau has been diagnosed with testicular cancer but still plans to compete next month in the 2008 Summer Olympic games in Beijing, China.
Shanteau learned of the diagnosis before competing in the Olympic qualifying trials last week in Omaha, Nebraska.
He plans to put off surgery until after the Olympics. The Georgia native will be competing in the 200-meter breast stroke.
Hopefully Eric can win the gold and then and more importantly beat testicular cancer. He can look up to Lance Armstrong who beat the disease and then went on to win 7 Tour de France titles.
