Complete List of 2008 ESPY Award Winners

Here is a complete list of the winners from the 2008 ESPY Awards. It is always anti-climatic when an award show is filmed several days before it is set to air. To top that off ESPN.com, on their front page, tells everyone who won every single award from last night’s 2008 ESPY Awards. The ESPY’s will air July 20th on ESPN.

All I have to say about the ESPYs is that Appalachian State over Michigan is a bigger upset than the New York Giants over the New England Patriots. However, App was doomed from the start in this category. Even if you don’t follow professional football, you probably love to hate the Patriots, and how can the tiny town of Boone outvote The Big Apple? New York and New England are in the same division, it’s not like the Giants had to cut players before they played the Patriots. Michigan is allowed by NCAA rules to give out more than 20 more scholarships than any team in the lower division including little Appalachian State. Not to mention, how could this not be the script for a perfect sports movie? A little team goes into the biggest college football stadium in the country and runs all over them, hanging tough with each posession, and then when it looks like things are going downhill, Corey Lynch comes out of nowhere to block a field goal in front of 109,000 fans. Simply amazing. It’s alright, once App beats LSU on August 30th, 2008, the 2009 Best Upset ESPY will be theirs.
GO CANDACE PARKER!!!!!!!!!
How does Kobe Bryant not get Best Male Athlete award. The guy is a living legend who does it day in and day out for an entire season. Tiger woods is not an athlete because hes a golfer. These guys play couple tournaments a year and they call themselves athletes.
Maybe because Kobe Bryant isnt a winner and quits on his team during the playoffs year after year. He couldn’t even guard Paul Pierce in the Finals.
Kobe has won what since Shaq left town?
Tiger wins…Golf tourneys are 4 consecutive days and if you have ever played golf and basketball you will know golf is a ton of a lot harder.
The difference is Tiger can go 1 on 70 and win the tourney.
Kobe goes 1 on 5 and loses by record margins in the Finals.
What happened to Danica Patrick? Nascar driver Jimmie Johnson gets best driver? Some nice sportmenship during softball is the best moment? What a redneck decision.Very disappointed with this years ESPY’s. Danica has done so much for women and the sport of driving in a male dominated field.
kobe who? again crosby over ovechkin give me a break!
floyd mayweather did not deserve the best fighter award, he’s a wussy who knew de la hoya would beat him this time so he retired, he still had at least 7 more years left in his career, now georges st.pierre is not afraid of anyone, he should have one the award, and if he didnt it should have been calzaghe who by the way has a much better record than floyd.
Ovechkin is a hack. Crosby is so much better.
Boston Celtics, Best Team this year and Best Team Ever!
Tom Brady or A-Rod should have ben Best Male Athlete!
Red Sox and Lakers suck!
