Ex-Weather Channel anchor Bob Stokes is denying he sexually harassed co-anchor Hillary Andrews in any shape or form. He says the conversations between the two “were mutual.”

“The conversations between Ms. Andrews and I — and they were just conversations — were mutual,” he said. “These conversations were a two-way street in which both of us engaged.”

Andrews has filed suit against Stokes in Cobb County Superior Court, contending Stokes became sexually obsessed with her when she began working at the cable network in 2003.

On Wednesday, Stokes, 50, said he was “not a person who deliberately tries to inflict emotional distress on another human being. I don’t do that. I wanted us both to succeed.”

The beautiful and popular Andrews claims Stokes consistently harassed her with sexual come-ons and sexual comments that were totally inappropriate.

Her claims include that Stokes had exhibited the same behavior with Hillary Andrews’ predecessor and therefore they should have known this was his pattern of behavior. Among other things she claims that Stokes constantly harangued her with sexual come-ons, stared at her breasts and made crude sexual comments to her. She claims he told her that he was sexually attracted to her and “It tortures me when you wear those heels and skirt.�? She claimed that he once asked her, ‘Will you lick my swizzle stick?’. When she rebuffed his advances, she claims that he became vindictive and sabotaged her on-air.

“Will you lick my swizzle stick?”. Now if Stokes did say that then I have to say it is pretty darn funny and after my initial laugh I have to say it’s extremely wrong. Either way my vocabulary has been lengthened.

Andrews is now suing Stokes personally over the harassment claims. Earlier this year independent arbitrator, Hunter Hughes, after she was awarded $37,500 by a court against the Weather Channel on her negligence claim but refused her retaliation claim.
