Video: Julio Castillo Goes Nuts, Throws Fastball into Dugout
A very disturbing fight took place last night in the Minor Leagues after Julio Castillo beaned two hitters in the first inning, the second in the head. The managers then argued with the umpire before Dayton’s manager Donnie Scott shoved Peoria’s manager Carmelo Martinez. That is when Castillo (pitcher) lost his mind and hurled a fastball into the opposing team’s dugout that missed and injured a fan in the stands. He is then was jumped by the opposing team and beaten to pieces.
He was arrested on the spot and charged with felony assault. Seventeen players ended up being ejected from the game between Dayton Dragons (Reds) and Peoria Chiefs (Cubs). Castillo likely will be suspended for the rest of the season. He was to appear before a judge this morning.
