David Archuleta’s New Single ‘Crush’ Debuts
American Idol runner-up David Archuleta debuted his new (soon-to-be-hit) single ‘Crush’ this morning on the Elvis Duran radio show on Z100.
I am sure the tune will be on iTunes by week end and on top of the charts before the middle of the month. Hopefully his stage-dad Jeff has chilled out.

Turns out the whole father thing was a hoax by American Idol for ratings. It was really too bad because David Archuleta ended not winning even with such huge talent. I’m confident he’ll still come out on top in the next couple of years though.

Nice call! I agree that Crush will be at the top of the charts very soon. It will be a first in a long string of hits that David will put together, I’m sure. About his father - most of what was said about Jeff Archuleta was nothing more than a rumor. By all accounts from those close to David on AI and on the tour, the elder Archuleta has been nothing but a supportive, loving parent.
Bumpshack, Do a little research and quit spreading rumors. David has said his dad is great and the media attack was bogus but idol contracts would not let them speak out during the competition. Do you report news or is this a tabloid?
I was surprised Jeff wasn’t at the radio show with David. He has never missed an opportunity to show his face on camera at every single one of David’s appearances. Maybe he is finally getting a clue how weird that looks. I love David but his Dad really needs to go behind the scenes where he belongs.

You are totally right!!! This is an AWESOME song, with so many layers of David’s INCREDIBLE voice!!
The only other thing, though, is that I understand from the fans who have met him that David’s dad is a really great guy! How could he not be to have raised such an AMAZING son!!!

Second, don’t you know by now that the “David’s Stage Dad” controversy was created by American Idol for ratings?
Third, I can’t wait till this single is out! I can’t wait to go and buy it on and Itunes and in the stores and request it on the radio =]
