Believe it or not – Clay Aiken is officially a father. The former American Idol runner-up is the proud daddy of Parker Foster Aiken. Aiken’s friend/manager Jaymes Foster gave birth to the baby.

“HE’S HERE!” wrote Clay on his official website. “My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken (No hyphens. One first name. One middle name. One last name.)”

Parker was born at 8:08am on Aug. 8 — should make it easy to remember his birthday! — in North Carolina and weighed in at a healthy 6 lbs., 2 oz. and was 19″ long.

“Wow … 8:08 … 08/08/08,” writes Clay. “The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy. Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also.”

Congrats to Clay and Jaymes! The news that Clay was going to be a dad just broke back on May 29th.
