Michael Phelps led wire to wire in the 200 meter individual freestyle (butterfly, back, breast, freestyle) and blew away the field in the last fifty meters to win the gold and set another world record at 1:54:23.

Fellow American Ryan Lochte finished in a dead heat with Laszlo Cseh and settled for the bronze, finishing just .01 behind Cseh.
