Red Sox Captain Jason Varitek, Wife Divorcing

Jason and Karen Varitek

Boston Red Sox catcher/team captain Jason Varitek and his wife Karen Varitek have filed for divorce after eleven years of marriage.  They filed for divorce in their home state of Georgia.

The petition for divorce was filed on July 28th in Gwinnett County, Ga.

Jason and Karen have three children: Alexandra Rose (8), Kendall Anne (6) and Caroline Morgan (3).
