Veteran actress MacKenzie Phillips was busted with heroin and cocaine at LAX airport in Los Angeles today according to the Los Angeles Times.

“During a secondary screening process she was found in possession of what appeared to about a small amount of heroin and cocaine,” said Los Angeles Airport Police Sgt. Jim Holcomb. “She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and transported to the airport station.”

Phillips, 48, was arrested about 10 a.m. during a baggage screening by Transportation Security Administration officials in Terminal 4 of LAX, Holcomb said.

Phillips first rose to fame in the 1973 classic film American Graffiti. She has been battled addictions to drugs and alcohol for several years.
