Movies: Bangkok Dangerous

Bangkok Dangerous - (R) A cold-blooded hit man heads to Bangkok to pull off four jobs, and winds up falling in love with a local girl and bonding with his errand boy.

Everybody Wants To Be Italian - (R) Jake, a lovelorn fishmonger who has spent nearly a decade trying to win back his ex-girlfriend gets involved in a romantic case of mistaken ethnicity. It’s been eight years since Jake’s girlfriend left him, and despite the fact that she’s now married with three children, he refuses to move on. Fed up with their depressive pal’s unwillingness to let go of the past, Jake’s friends set him up on a blind date with a beautiful Italian woman from Boston’s North End. Though Jake is convinced that such a woman would never consider dating a non-Italian, a quick crash course in how to fake it may prove just the trick to helping him learn to love once again.

Mister Foe - (R) A twisted Freudian adventure, the film centers on Hallam Foe, a teenage voyeur who fancies his step-mother until he becomes convinced that she murdered his mother. He leaves home when she seduces him and begins a feral life in the rooftops of Edinburgh until he spots and becomes obsessed with a girl who looks just like his mother.

Ping Pong Playa - (PG-13) Christopher “C-DUB” Wang is a young Chinese-American man who presents himself with a streetwise, ghetto swagger and dreams of a career as a basketball star. But soon he finds his real gift as a ping-pong player and coach, leading an odd squad of students to a local championship.

A Secret - (NR) Francois, a solitary, imaginative child, invents for himself a brother as well as the story of his parents’ past. But on his fifteenth birthday, he discovers a dark family secret that ties his family’s history to the Holocaust and shatters his illusions forever. Before the war, his father, Maxime, was married to Hannah when he fell madly in love with Francois’s mother, Tania. As a young Jewish couple living in Nazi-occupied France, Maxime and Tania were compelled to make difficult choices to survive the war while Hannah would make a decision that would change her life and that of her family forever.
