Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard, of the NBA, recently disrespected the United States’ National Anthem at Allen Iverson’s charity flag football game. While the Star Spangled Banner was being played he said, “The Star Spangled Banner’s going on right now and I don’t celebrate that sh*t. I’m black.”

The event was captured on video and uploaded to You Tube.

I don’t think I really have to comment on what I think about this one. I think you guys who read Bump will have enough to say in the comments. Yeah I know…freedom of speech etc, but Howard lives in a country where he gets paid $9.5 million dollars for putting a piece of cow skin through a metal hoop while being applauded.

This was not Howard’s first case of verbal diarrhea. Last year while being interviewed by Michael Irvin, Howard admitted to smoking weed whenever he wants. And much to David Stern’s chagrin he said that most players in the NBA smoke weed.
