Tune in Tonight: Gwen Ifill vs. Sarah Palin
UPDATE: Live Blogging VP Debate Between Palin and Biden at Political Kudzu
Tune in tonight at 9:00pm EST/6:00pm PST to see the Vice Presidential debate between Republican Sarah Palin and Democrat Joe Biden.
The extreme buzz around the debate got even louder yesterday when it was revealed that moderator Gwen Ifill is writing a pro-Obama book, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama, that is scheduled to be released on Inauguration Day.
She has also written an article for ‘Essence’ magazine titled, “The Obamas: Portrait of an American Family.” Gwen will for sure make upwards of a million dollars if Barack Obama becomes President in book sales. Her book will sell like hotcakes and finally make her wealthy (since she makes peanuts working for PBS). So she for sure has a financial interest in a Barack victory.
Gwen will be in a wheelchair tonight (see photo above) because she fell down her steps on Monday at her house and broke her ankle.
Tonight’s debate will be more watched than last Friday’s debate between John McCain and Barack Obama.
I don’t think Ifill will be unfair tonight with Palin. I believe she will be very careful to make sure she comes across as fair to both candidates. Palin won’t lose the debate tonight based on any question from Ifill, at least in my opinion. If Ifill does pose questions to Palin that America thinks are extremely unfair then there will be a public outlash against Ifill and Obama.
