Injury forces Misty May-Treanor to Leave ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Misty May-Treanor Volleyball

Beach volleyball superstar Misty May-Treanor will step down from ‘Dancing With the Stars’ tonight after injuring her Achilles tendon during rehearsals over the weekend.

Misty May-Treanor did not break her ankle during a Dancing with the Stars rehearsal last Friday, but she sure did jack it up pretty bad. She was practicing with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, when she had to be taken to Cedars Sinai Hospital.

Too bad for the show. I don’t think Misty had a chance of winning but it always sucks for an injury to force an early exit on the show.  Often athletes on DWTS get better with every week.  So you never know how good MMT could have done.
