Barack Obama Elected 44th President of the United States

Barack Obama and Anne Nixon Cooper

Tonight Barack Obama was elected as the 44th President of the United States. Congrats to Barack and Michelle Obama on this historic victory for America.

Obama gave a rousing acceptance speech that finished eloquently with his story of Anne Nixon Cooper, a 106-year old woman from Atlanta, that was born a generation after slavery. A woman that wasn’t allowed to vote based on the color of her skin and her gender at one point.

Tonight is a good night for Obama, Cooper, and millions of Americans here and abroad.
