Though they appear to be proverbally attached at the hip, Justin Gaston says that Miley Cyrus is “just a family friend”.

“I met Billy Ray on the show and just became friends with the whole family. And they’re such a great family,” Justin said, adding that he moved to Los Angeles two years ago “and started a modeling career and that’s kind of just to break into the music business and everything.â€?

Gaston was on Nashville Star- the country music version of American Idol that Billy Ray Cyrus hosts.
