Scott Weiland Blames Velvet Revolver Split On Big Egos
Velvet Revolver’s former frontman, Scott Weiland, admits he left the band after their European Tour earlier this year due to their BIG rock stars’ egos.
Speaking to MTV about his departure, Weiland said: “Velvet Revolver fell apart because there were too many big egos in the band — and I’m including myself.
“It wasn’t necessarily about bad egos, just big egos, and unfortunately, it just mistakenly kind of eroded.”
Scott is now planning to go solo (he will only have to deal with his own big ego!) with a new album, Happy In Galoshes, that will be released on November 25, 2008. While the group Velvet Revolver is still looking for a replacement singer.
