Vintage Pinup Bettie Page Suffers Heart Attack

UPDATE: Bettie Page Has Passed Away at 85

Pinup model Bettie Page, who was key in starting the sexual revolution of the 50’s and 60’s, has been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack in her Los Angeles home.

Mark Roesler, Page’s agent and attorney, says Friday that the 85-year-old is “critically ill.” He says she suffered a heart attack Tuesday and remains hospitalized.

He would not comment further on her condition.

Page is credited with helping set the stage for the sexual revolution of the rebellious 1960s. She attracted national attention with magazine photographs of her sensuous figure in bikinis and lingerie that were tacked up on walls in military barracks, garages and elsewhere.

Page was born in Nashville, Tennessee. In her prime she was 5′5 1/2″ with measurements of 36-23-36 weighing 128 pounds. She was a Playboy centerfold in January of 1955.
