Britney Spears might need a little lesson in the “less is more” philosophy for parenting. She took her boys to the New York FAO Schwarz store and let them pick out pretty much anything they wanted.

“Each of the boys had one of those soldier guys [store staffers in uniform] to walk around with, and they each had a huge metal trolley cart to fill up,” a spy tells the mag. “They picked out hundreds of dollars worth of Mack Trucks, cement mixers and RC cars.”

The trip was made under the watchful eye of Brit’s mom Lynne and decision-making dad Jamie, along with several bodyguards, who all took turns toting the boys around the store.

Oh well, I guess art imitates life, too. Maybe she’s celebrating the success of her album, or her 27th birthday. Or the fact that she’s not in the psych ward this year.
