Britney Spears once again has the #1 album on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart with the critically acclaimed Circus.  The album is Britney’s 5th #1 hit.  Five of Brit’s six albums have gone #1 with the exception of last year’s Blackout which peaked at #2.

The only other newcomer this week was Akon with Freedom.  Gun’s N’ Roses fell out of the top 10 just as quickly as they entered, spending only a week in the top 10.  Perhaps the option to only buy the album at Best Buy played a factor in the steep drop in sales.
