Tom Cruise Dark & Lonely at Controversial “Valkyrie” Premiere
Tom Cruise left his two girls, Katie Holmes and Suri, in New York to premiere is very controversial new movie “Valkyrie” at The Directors Guild of America in LA. The movie premiere was reportedly a success and attended by the director Bryan Singer (pictured), some of Tom’s Scientology friends like Priscilla Presley (pictured) and the normal anti-Scientology protesters, who follow the Cruises around. Katie’s “All My Sons” Broadway debut was also crashed by Anonymous (Anti-Scientology group).
Although “Valkyrie” is based on actual events, a plot to assassinate Hitler is unfurled during the height of WWII, the controversy started when the German Defense Ministry did not give permission for scenes to be filmed in German military sites because of Tom’s belief in Scientology.
“[Filmmakers] will not be allowed to film at German military sites if Count Stauffenberg is played by Tom Cruise, who has publicly professed to being a member of the Scientology cult,” Germany Defense Ministry spokesman Harald Kammerbauer said. “In general, the Bundeswehr (German military) has a special interest in the serious and authentic portrayal of the events of July 20, 1944 and Stauffenberg’s person.”
I do understand Germany doesn’t recognize the Church of Scientology as a church but discriminating someone based on their beliefs or religion doesn’t seem like a trait of the free world…
