‘Sopranos’ Actor John Costelloe Kills Himself
Actor John Costelloe, who had a brief but memorable role on ‘The Sopranos,’ died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound on December 18th according to the New York City police.
John Costelloe, an actor who was best known to viewers of “The Sopranos” for his role as the gay lover of a mobster, has died, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, The Associated Press reported. Citing a New York City police spokesman, the A.P. said Mr. Costelloe, 47, was found dead in his Brooklyn home on Dec. 18.
Costelloe played a short order cook who was the gay lover of a mobster. His character name on the show was Jim Witowski or ‘Johnny Hotcakes.’ The gay mobster, Vito Spatofore, was played by James Gannascoli.
