TMZ is reporting that Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of actor John Travolta and actress Kelly Preston, has died in the Bahamas while on vacationing with his parents according to the Rand Memorial Hosptial.

We’re told 16-year-old Jett was vacationing with Travolta and wife Kelly Preston. We do not know the circumstances of his death.

There have been reports that Jett was autistic, though Travolta has denied it, saying he suffers from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease.

Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the Travolta family.

UPDATE: The attorney for the family says that Jett suffered a seizure at the family home and he died on the scene after attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.  Police are now stating that Jett hit his head in the tub.

This is starting to turn into another Bahamian Anna Nicole Smith celeb-death-circus already.  I hope for the Travolta family that the cause of death can be cleared up so they can grieve properly.
