Peyton Manning Wins 3rd NFL MVP Award
Indianapolis Colts quaterback Peyton Manning was named the NFL MVP on Friday for the third time in his Hall-of-Fame bound career. Manning led the Colts to wins in their last nine games of the regular season.
The award meant more than the previous two MVP’s according to Manning:
“It’s been the most rewarding regular season that I’ve been a part of in my 11 years, and I have to believe a lot of the other players and even coaches might feel the same way.”

- Chad Pennington – Dolphins (4 votes)
- Michael Turner – Falcons (4 votes)
- James Harrison – Steelers (3 votes)
- Adrian Peterson – Vikings (3 votes)
- Philip Rivers - Chargers (2 votes)
- Chris Johnson – Titans (1 vote)
- Kurt Warner – Cardinals (1 vote)
Manning, along with Brett Favre, are the only players to win the award three times.
