Gov. Paterson to Name Kirsten Gillibrand to U.S. Senate
Reports are claiming that New York governor David Paterson will select Kirsten Gillibrand, Representative from New York, to replace Hillary Clinton in the U.S. Senate. Clinton resigned her seat in the Senate after being confirmed as Barack Obama’s new Secretary of State on Wednesday.
Kirsten Elizabeth Rutnik Gillibrand is 42-years old and married to Jonathan Gillibrand. They have two children, Theodore and Henry Nelson. She graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth and received her law degree from UCLA in Los Angeles.
