Sean Penn Wins Best Actor Oscar for ‘Milk’
The biggest surprise of the 81st Academy Awards took place when Sean Penn received the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in Milk. Many experts and fans strongly believed that Mickey Rourke would receive the award for his role in The Wrestler.
Penn, as one might predict, rambled his acceptance speech into politics and praising President Obama as the Messiah. But Penn also gave a shout out and strong props to Rourke on his strong Hollywood comeback. I think most of us wanted to see how many explicatives Rourke might roll off in accepting the award.
