Swedish singer/songwriter Theresa Andersson, also known as “a one-woman wonder” performed her new song “Birds Fly Away” live last night (February 4) at the Late Night With Conan O’Brien.

Theresa’s big successes (“Hummingbird, Go!“) have all been created and played in her kitchen (Theresa lives in New Orleans since 1990). Her video for “Na Na Na” has become a huge sensation on YouTube with almost a million views. Different sound, good melody and Theresa plays all the instruments from guitar to voice – the girl has talent!

Model/actress Amber Lancaster made quite an impression at Super Bowl Celebrity Beach Bowl and will be featured in an upcoming issue of ESPN the Magazine. Amber, who is currently dating “Friday Night Lights” Zach Gilford, will face FNL’s Jesse Plemons to see who knows Gilford better.

Actor Dustin Hoffman was caught by the paparazzi shopping on Sunset Boulevard and took the opportunity to play for the cameras. I have recently seen “Last Chance Harvey” with Emma Thompson and I was really surprised because I really loved the movie and it is certainly not my type of movie. In a recent interview Kelly Clarkson talks about her new album “All I Ever Wanted” and the story behind her latest single “My Life Would Suck Without You” (watch music video here>>). Kelly completely denies Katy Perry’s influence on her new album and the rumors she is a lesbian – nope, Kelly loves men way too much to play for the other team.

Kelly also speaks about blogger Perez’s concern for her weight, sexual orientation and the possibility to have a woman as President of the USA. Here are some highlights from Kelly Clarkson’s PopEater interview:

‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ is obviously a tale of love/hate. What was the inspiration behind the song?
Honestly, [songwriting duo] Max [Martin] and Luke [Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald], who wrote [my song] ‘Since U Been Gone’ … it kind of came about the same way. They sent me the song, but it was kind of a different take on the message. I said, “I love the beat, I love the song, but I’d rather it be something I would really say, and I’ll sell it better if it is something I would relate to.” They kind of rewrote the message around this tough take on a sweet relationship. It’s saying, “We’re horrible for each other, but at the same time I don’t want anyone else.”

Your last album, ‘My December,’ was quite a personal affair. How would you describe the new album, ‘All I Ever Wanted’?
It’s kind of like a roller coaster, because 1) I’m a woman, but 2) I love that ride through an album because it tells a story. But there’s some really fun stuff on here that I’ve never done before — like this one song I did with Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic called ‘If I Can’t Have You.’ It’s very like Eurythmics meets the Killers — very different for me. It’s a lot sexier. People think it’s so funny because they know I’m not that girl. Then there’s other stuff like ‘Cry,’ which is the most personal song on the album and is about betrayal. Anyway, [the album] is very personal and all over the place. All my albums always have been. I don’t know about you, but I get really pissed off when I buy an album and every song’s the same. I’m like, “Man, you just wasted my money. I could’ve just got one song.” Some artists complain about leaking a bit of the album with each song. I’m like, “That’s just forcing you to come out with better music.”

Is it accurate to say, as Rolling Stone magazine did, that Katy Perry is a major influence on your new album?
Um, no. I mean, what’s funny … I like Katy Perry. Katy and [new 'American Idol' judge] Kara DioGuardi wrote a song, ‘I Do Not Hook Up,’ which is probably going to be my second single. But we’re very different. I honestly don’t think we’re very comparable. I’m a huge Katy Perry fan, but no, I think people are saying that because I worked with Max and Luke. But I mean, I worked with Max and Luke before [her].

A large part of your fan base is gay, and there’s a longstanding rumor that you are a lesbian. Is there any truth to that?
I get that all the time. People are like, “Are you secretly a lesbian? Because I’d really love it.” Lesbians tell it to me all the time. I’m like, “I’m glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because oftentimes men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.” I could never be a lesbian. I would never want to date [someone like] myself, ever. I’m a crazy person. I need some kind of stable, quiet man. I don’t really care if you’re black, white, yellow, gay, straight, crazy, whatever. As long as you’re cool and you like the music, and you’re coming out to have a good time at the shows, I don’t really care. I have everything I just said in my family, so I’m just used to being surrounded by that. I just don’t know any different.

Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton seems especially concerned about your weight and sexuality. How do you handle such scrutiny?
Honestly, I don’t know what the hell I did to [Perez]. He’s very concerned about my sexuality and my weight, which I’m not. I learned at a very young age from my father: “Honey, you’re never gonna be able to control what people think about you or say about you; you might as well just stop worrying about it.” I learned on ‘Idol’ not to read any of it — never. You’re either going to become one these people that you know have just totally lost perspective because everybody’s tooted their horn so much, or you’re gonna crawl in some hole and want to kill yourself because people are just so mean. I enjoy our conversation right now, but I won’t read what we do.

We just elected the first African-American president. Do you think in our time we’ll see a female president?
Oh, definitely. I don’t care regardless — female, male, whatever — I just want someone that’s about change, and that’s what [Barack Obama] campaigned on, and that’s what I’m hoping happens. I’m very much a Barack fan.

William Petersen, who played CSI Gil Grissom for 9 seasons, was honored with the 2,379th Star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 55 year-old actor was accompanied by his beautiful young wife Gina Petersen (Gina Cirone) had the chance to fingerprint his own star and celebrated it with friends and CSI co-star Marg Helgenberger.

Petersen is a Golden Globe and Emmy nominated American actor and producer, who is now ready to face other challenges after leaving the crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. We will miss Gil!! Peterson, please don’t leave!! The new leader of CSI’s night shift is Laurence Fishburne.

Actress Katie Holmes and baby Suri Cruise hit the beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Mom and daughter spent some quality time together while daddy was busy messing up with the native language at the Brazilian “Valkyrie” (“Operação Valquíria“) premiere.

Tom Cruise thanked a journalist with the Spanish “gracias” when he should have used Portuguese “obrigado” because that is the language spoken in Brazil. You would have expected that celebrities, who have seen the world, knew at least some essential words… and if they are not sure what to say better not try to play cool.

But no, Tom doesn’t know when to stop – he also said he loves “Tango” (traditional dance of Argentina) when he meant “Samba”!! Got to love Tom!! He is an idiot, he knows it and he has fun with it!! Love him!!

Anyway Katie and Suri looked absolutely adorable in their marine outfits while walking at the Copacabana beach. It amazes me how both mommy and daughter look so free and relaxed even with a crowd trying to take the best picture – they even managed a smile for the cam!

Tom Cruise “Valkyrie” Premiere in Brazil

British actress Kate Winslet is nominated for an Oscar with big chances of winning it this year but the 33 year-old mother of two is still very down to earth and modest. In the best shape of her life, Kate had two major movies out this year, “The Reader” and “Revolutionary Road“, for which she received critics’ praises.

Here are some highlights of Kate Winslet’s Los Angeles Magazine interview:

On the first movie she ever saw: I think it was Annie. Closely followed by Bugsy Malone. I’m that kid. I always wanted to be in those films. It wasn’t a fantasy about being in the movie but wondering what it would be like with those splurge guns, or to have tap-danced in the orphanage. But I never had an aspiration to be a movie star. I swear to you, that never occurred to me as a legitimate dream. To me, acting and being in the movies were entirely separate things. Being in movies was something that happened to Judy Garland. Not Kate from Reading. It didn’t enter my world at all.

On what in movie making captures her the most: I love planning the scenes and sketching things in my head and hoping to hit certain beats. You can have an idea of how a scene will play out, but there is nothing like stepping onto a film set and seeing everything come out in a completely surprising way. The trick as an actor is being brave enough to let that be the way it is and not try to put it back in the box you thought it would be. Sometimes that’s tremendous fun. Sometimes it’s severely painful because you’re surprised by the emotions it’s bringing up in you. It’s extraordinarily challenging, and I really love it.

On if her daughter, Mia, knows what she does for a living: She does, and she’s intrigued by our jobs. I’m so much in the public eye, I want her to understand where that comes from, that it’s from my passion, something I love to do, so she doesn’t resent it or have funny feelings about it. So she understands on a positive level as opposed to anything potentially negative.

On what scares her: You can’t be so selfish as to be scared. You can’t do that to the other actors, and you can’t do it to the character. Yes, you can be nervous and you can turn to the other actor and say, “I’m really shitting myself—what if I don’t get it right?” But then you have to get it gone straightaway. No matter how many times you’ve done it before or how well oiled a machine you may feel, it’s a daily struggle to not be afraid.

On love scene with an 18 year old in The Reader: My biggest concern was that David physically understood what was going to happen. On the day I said, “I’m going to talk you through this, OK? We’re going to be completely naked. I will have a bathrobe by my side, and you’ll have one right by your side. If you at any point can’t reach your bathrobe, I will give you mine. You need to know there will be a maximum four people in the room.” He was like [she assumes a precise German accent], “Really, oh, my Gott, what about all these crew and these other people?” I said, “They’re going to be a million miles away, don’t you worry. It will just be me and you, and I promise we will be laughing about this.” He said, “Oh, I can’t imagine laughing about this.” I said, “I swear to you.” Within the first hour we were giggling.

Millard Fuller, the founder of Habitat for Humanity, has passed away in Atlanta at the age of 74.  The cause of death has yet to be determined.  Fuller was a millionaire by the time he was 30 but gave it most of it away.  Along with his wife, Linda, they dedicated their lives to Christian ministry and started Habitat for Humanity thirty-three years ago.

Founded in 1976, Habitat’s first headquarters was a tiny gray frame house in Americus, which doubled as Fuller’s law office. For the first 14 years, Fuller’s salary was just $15,000; his wife worked 10 years for free.

Habitat grew to a worldwide network that has built more than 300,000 houses, providing shelter to more than 1.5 million people. Preaching the “theology of the hammer,” Fuller built an army of volunteers that included former U.S. presidents, other world leaders and Hollywood celebrities.

People receiving homes from the charity are required to work on their own houses, investing what the Fullers called “sweat equity.”

Fuller’s works won him numerous accolades, including a 1996 Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. For nearly three decades, he was the public face of Habitat, traveling the world to hammer nails and press bricks from local clay alongside some of the Earth’s poorest.

Fuller was a great man that impacted hundreds of thousands of people less fortunate than himself.  I had the opportunity to hear him speak at my church in Los Angeles three years ago and his story of faith and giving was truly inspiring.

Actress Jennifer Aniston looked stunning at the “He’s Just Not That Into You” premiere held at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. That is quite a compliment when also attending are beautiful co-stars like Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Drew Barrymore and Ginnifer Goodwin.

Aniston chose a simple feminine black suit. Too bad Brad Pitt is so over Jen now! Connelly’s dress was hideous and I’m just not that into Scarlett’s floral dress! Drew looks super cute (is she pregnant?). Justin Long was there too (looking like a dork!) but unfortunately nowhere near Drew… that’s a shame because they made such a cute couple.

“He’s Not Just That Into You” tells the story of a group of interconnected, Baltimore-based twenty- and thirty-somethings navigating their various relationships from the shallow end of the dating pool through the deep, murky waters of married life, trying to read the signs of the opposite sex–and hoping to be the exceptions to the “no-exceptions”; rule. Gigi (Ginnifer Goodwin) just wants a man who says he’ll call–and does–while Alex (Justin Long) advises her to stop sitting by the phone. Beth (Jennifer Aniston) wonders if she should call it off after years of committed singlehood with her boyfriend, Neil, but he doesn’t think there’s a single thing wrong with their unmarried life. Janine (Jennifer Connelly) is not sure if she can trust her husband, Ben (Bradley Cooper), who can’t quite trust himself around Anna (Scarlett Johansson). Anna can’t decide between the sexy married guy, or her straightforward, no-sparks standby, Conor (Kevin Connolly), who can’t get over the fact that he can’t have her. And Mary (Drew Barrymore), who’s found an entire network of loving, supportive men, just needs to find one who’s straight.

Madonna met the 22 year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz at a photo shoot for W Magazine and since then has asked him to join her on tour. They were seen together a couple of times fueling rumors that Madonna has completely moved on after her recent divorce with Guy Ritchie and a torrid relationship with Alex Rodriguez (who might have cheated on her with model Melissa Britos!).

Madonna and Jesus were recently caught enjoying a quick lunch date in Manhattan’s Marcelleria Italian Steakhouse. Jesus’ former agent says the model has been acting up since hooking up with the “Queen of Pop” – he is now requesting well over $100,000 for jobs that used to earn him just $225. Sounds like a good deal, Jesus!!

In my opinion Jesus is just taking advantage of being seen around Madonna. According to a close friend, Jesus and Madonna’s “date” was organized by Steve Klein to celebrate W’s March issue. Jesus arrived late spend 20 minutes inside and just occasionally left the restaurant with Madonna but they went different ways without even interacting much. I don’t know what to think but they definitely don’t look like a couple in these photos!
