Jennifer Hudson Lip-Synched National Anthem Super Bowl XLIII Performance Video

Jennifer Hudson made her first public appearance and major performance at the 2009 Super Bowl singing the National Anthem after mother, brother and 7 year-old nephew died last October.

I wouldn’t say it’s natural but totally understandable for an artist to lip-synch at such a big event because you cannot fail when the whole world is watching you. In Jennifer’s case I think it was even more important – she is still recovering from a terrible loss!

“That’s the right way to do it,” pre-game show producer Rickey Minor said. “There’s too many variables to go live. I would never recommend any artist go live because the slightest glitch would devastate the performance.”

Jennifer could have sung live if she wanted to but she was advised by Minor himself not to do it. I still think it was an amazing performance! Lip-synched or not, it was emotional! Go Jennifer!!

Christian Bale’s Inhumane F-Bomb Bonanza

Terminator Salvation 4 Starring Christian Bale

We did a post last July titled ‘The Legend of Christian Bale’s Short Fuse Grows’ that made reference to Christian Bale’s non-stop, verbal assault upon a DP on the Terminator: Salvation set.

The audio is damning and perhaps the worst example of inhumane profanity every caught on tape.  Link below to the audio clip. It is extremely explicit.

Listen to Audio of Bale Flipping Out on Set

Bale was arrested last year in a London hotel for physical assaulting his mum and sister.

Clone Wars: Joe Jonas and Camilla Belle

Joe Jonas and Camilla Belle

Joe Jonas, of the Jonas Brothers, and Camilla Belle continue to date under cover(s) and no one is quite sure why they are so secretive.  Regardless I thought they were the same person when I saw this photo.  Maybe that is why Joe likes her so much. Joe thinks he is looking in the mirror and kissing himself whenever he locks lips or hips with her.

Perhaps Joe is not over the public bashing Taylor Swift gave him after he dumped her late last year.

DUI Trouble Again for Gary Collins

Gary Collins DUI Mug Shot

Former TV host Gary Collins was busted again for DUI last night. It is his second DUI in just the last couple of years.  His first DUI resulted in the death of the other driver.  Collins was booked and released last night.

Law enforcement tells TMZ Collins was busted at 9:16 last night by the CHP just south of Montecito, on suspicion of DUI. Law enforcement sources tell us Collins refused a field sobriety test but was subsequently given a blood alcohol test.

A year ago Collins pled no contest to DUI in an accident that resulted in the death of the other driver. Collins was not prosecuted for manslaughter, in part because the other driver caused the crash by making an illegal left. Collins is currently on 4 years probation. If he was driving drunk again, he’ll almost certainly go to jail.

It is kind of obvious that Collins has a drinking problem. He should go to jail and do more than the celebratory four hours behind bars.  He should get a lot more time than Paris Hilton got in the slammer.  Collins is a hazard to the community with his lack of self control with the bottle.

Quote of the Day: Robert X. Cringely

“If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.”

Top 10 Super Bowl Ads of 2009

Bumpshack.com’s ‘Top 10 Super Bowl Ads of 2009′

    Coca Cola Heist

  1. Coca-Cola: ‘Heist’ (Watch Video) – It is safe to say that Coca-Cola’s ‘Heist’ commercial was the most beautiful ad of the night.  A stream of outside critters and bugs, including lady bugs, grasshoppers, and bumble bees, work together to heist a tasty Coca-Cola away from a good looking guy taking a nap on the ground.  This ad should win awards at the National Commercial Marketing Convention or whatever they call it.
  2. Telaflora Ugly Flowers Super Bowl Ad

  3. Telaflora:  ‘Mean Flowers’ (Watch Video) – I had never heard of Telaflora before tonight but they made a big splash with their 30 second spot during the Super Bowl.  A cute girl receives a box of ugly flowers at her office desk.  The flowers then insult her every which way in getting the point across that if her man loved her then he wouldn’t send her flowers in a box.  A very direct and brutal stab at Pro Flowers and all of the other boxed flower delivery services.  Big props to Telaflora!
  4. Cash4Gold.com Super Bowl Ad

  5. Cash4Gold – ‘Ed McMahon’ (Watch Video) – Everybody knows and hates these Cash4Gold.com ads when they normally come on television, but the ad they ran tonight featuring Ed McMahon and M.C. Hammer was actually pretty good.  The two celebs were able to make fun of their financial hardships and earned some decent coin in the process.
  6. Godaddy.com Danica Patrick Nude Shower Super Bowl Ad

  7. Godaddy.com – ‘Danica Steam’ (Watch Video) – Godaddy had a couple of ad spots during the Super Bowl.  I thought the second one with Indy racer Danica Patrick in the hot, steamy shower was the best.  Horny boys at a computer, lusting over Patrick in the shower, believing they can do anything now that they have the internet on their computer.  It must have worked because they went on to add another sexy woman in the shower with Danica as she seductively washed her hair.
  8. Budweiser Clydesdale Stick Fetch Super Bowl Ad

  9. Budweiser – ‘Clydesdale Fetch’ (Watch Video) – Budweiser at its best. I am not sure how much longer they can pull off these Clydesdale commercials, but this one was actually rather good.  Clydesdale watches dog fetch stick before deciding to one up him and bring back a massive tree branch in his mouth.
  10. Bud Light Conan O'Brien Sweden Super Bowl Ad

  11. Bud Light – ‘Conan O’Brien’(Watch Video) Conan is just a funny dude.  In this ad Conan is well…Conan.  There is a lot of truth in this ad about Hollywood celebrities that refuse to do commercial ads in the United States but have no problem doing them overseas.
  12. Doritos Crystal Ball Super Bowl Ad

  13. Doritos – ‘Crystal Ball’ - (Watch Video) So dumb that it is actually really funny and works well off of that angle.  Nerdy office guy claims snow globe is a crystal ball to predict everyone in the office will get free Doritos.  Even dumber co-employee takes snow globe, wishes for raise, and proceeds to pelt boss in the nuts with the ‘crystal ball.’
  14. Budweiser Clydesdale Circus Super Bowl Ad

  15. Budweiser – ‘Clydesdale Circus’(Watch Video) Another classic Budweiser Clydesdale ad and the second one that makes this top ten list.  A mini story of boy running off to find girl, rescuing girl from circus, and dashing off to nearest field to get laid.  The song is backed by the song ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ made popular by Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell.  The creators of the ad should have spliced in Marvin’s ‘Sexual Healing’ after the two ponies run off together.
  16. Pepsi 'Pepsuber' MacGruber Super Bowl Ad

  17. Pepsi – ‘Pepsuber’ - (Watch Video) This ad is a play off of a terrible ‘Saturday Night Live’ skit which is a play off of the 80′s hit TV show MacGyver.  In advertising you want your ad to be really good or really bad so people remember it and talk about it the next day at work.  Well this ad for sure fits the specs of the former.  Easily the worst ad of the night if you don’t count movie trailers.  Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s new movie would take the honor if you included it.
  18. Pedigree Adopt Dogs Ad

  19. Pedigree – ‘Crazy Pets’(Watch Video) Makes the list because one has to think that the NFL and NBC cut Pedigree a huge discount in the wake of the Michael Vick dog-holocaust scandal for this ad. The theme of the ad is to adopt a dog or support the Pedigree adoption program.  2+2=4

Pedigree ‘Crazy Pets’ Super Bowl Ad (Video)

This ‘Crazy Pets’ Super Bowl video for Pedigree is cute but not brilliantly funny. I found it interesting due to Michael Vick. The message of the ad is to adopt a dog or help Pedigree’s Adopt a Dog program. I have a feeling NBC and the NFL gave Pedigree an ad rate discount for running this ad in the wake of Vick’s cruelty.

Doritos ‘Crystal Ball’ Super Bowl Ad (Video)

Doritos humorous ad featuring a supposed ‘Crystal Ball’ from the 2009 Super Bowl.

Bud Light ‘Conan O’Brien’ Super Bowl Ad (Video)

Bud Light’s hilarious 2009 Super Bowl ad starring late night host Conan O’Brien. He is told by his agent that the commercial will only air in Sweden. He is none to happy to find it airing everywhere, including on the big screen at Times Square. Check it out….Conan is great in it!
