Chris Brown Cowardly Pleads Not Guilty
Chris Brown, who was charged with two felonies – assault and making criminal threats, showed up with his lawyer, Mark Geragos, at Los Angeles County Court today (April 6) to plead not guilty. There to support him were his sobbing mother and four bodyguards in case someone wanted to beat the crap out of Chris this time! Rihanna did not show up.
A second preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 29, which gives both parts time to discuss the case and work out some kind of deal, avoiding a trial. Rihanna’s attorney, Donald Etra, reiterated promises that his client will do “everything that the law requires her to do,” adding, “She would be pleased if this was over quickly.” So that means Rihanna wants a deal too and Chris will get nothing but a big slap on the wrist!
