Adelle Geniella Got Playboy Cheerleader Coach Carlie Beck Fired (Photos)
The 14 year-old Adelle Geniella, who got her coach Carlie Beck fired, is the angry cheerleader that had been banned from Casa Roble cheerleading tryouts for having more than three unexcused absences.
Adelle and her parents, Scott and Heather Geniella, were on the Today Show to talk about why they decided to go public with Carlie Christine’s nude Playboy photos (photos here).
“When I found out about it, I definitely lost respect,” Adelle told Matt Lauer. “That’s not where my morals stand.”
“This is a leader of young women,” dad Scott said. “They want to hold the children to a very high standard. These cheerleaders are not allowed to have racy pictures on MySpace, there’s a lot of things they’re not able to do, or shouldn’t.”
“When Adelle was not able to try out because she was absent one day of school that I failed to excuse, that took away from the fact that she’s an excellent student, she hasn’t cut a day of school in her life,” Heather Geniella said. “And when they say, ‘Well, we’re trying to set the standards very high for these girls,’ that upset Adelle,” the mother added.
“She said, ‘Mom, there are rumors that she has been on the Internet naked.’ So she was upset at the double standard, that [Beck] is good enough to be in a leadership position.”
If these parents weren’t so angry because their daughter wasn’t able to get in the cheerleader team, the world would have never heard about or seen Carlie naked. That sounds like double standards to me too!

Let’s see a 14 year old girl hears about the nude pictures, finds them on the internet, tells her parents about them and then they take them to the high school and show them to the principal to get the coach fired for a “school rule” about unexcused absences!
What I would like to know is where the parents were when the 14 year old was surfing the net and looking for nude pictures of the cheerleading coach? Does the school allow adults to bring nude pictures to school, much less 14 year old students?
I think they need to drop cheerleading at this school. If 14 year olds are allowed to do this, just think what they might do to the competition.
The Geniellas “ladies” are probably jealous that they aren’t hot enough to be in Playboy. The father was probably sporting wood looking at the pictures, but is so henpecked by the old lady he had to go along with whatever she said. Like the first poster said, Adelle will probably end up pregnant, unmarried, and/or on drugs in a couple of years. I haven’t read anything about it, but is Adelle still at this school. If she is, that could cause some problems down the road.
14 year-old hater who, if not for her rejection of a tryout, she wouldn’t even bothered to lookup for pictures. and what if she did make it in the cheerleading team? …would she still rat on her couch for those nude pix…or would she dismiss them?

That this is acceptable behavior for a coach of girls cheerleading team? okay. Did nobody mention The great grades made by this student That she holds other positions on student council. theres no reason to fire the coach when clearly the kid was in the wrong. this is a bad precedent. your kid does wrong, you dig into the teachers past..give me a break.
Layne, the coach was honest. The coach did tell the administration about her modeling stuff. The admin said to keep it quiet. So she did honor her part of the deal.
Fact is, if the parents thought it was unfair that their daughter didn’t make the squad because of a few absences and the coach, who modeled for playboy, is allowed to be coach, they could’ve raised the issue with the school admin, quietly and discreetly. They didn’t have to ruin her this way. So I do believe it was bitterness on the parents and daughters part.
As a parent we try to show right from wrong .Sometime’s we miss.But what this girl did to get her cheeleading coach fired was just wrong in my book. So how did Adelle Geniella find out about this Playboy pic’s in the first place? Why was this 14 year old girl surfing the net for porn pic of Carlie Becker and wear was the parent’s wen she was looking this pic at.I gess her parent’s wear nor standing on moral grounds to let her look up this pic’s on lime then.I thank the cheeleading coach had the right to not let this girl on the team becuse she had 3 unexcued absences for trying out for this team it shows that this girl had better things to do insted of trying out for her team and try to come in at the last min to get in.Gave Adelle back her job and kick out Adell Geniella out of school.
I don’t think vindictive behaviour by a student because of proper enforcement of school policies, is standing up for what is right. If Adelle is such a “well mannered” model student, maybe she should have accepted the consequences for being absent instead of digging for dirt on the coach. Personally, you’re right - I could care less what an adult legally does on their own time and I’m sick of society holding people to unreasonable standards. Nobody seems to care that the President used to do cocaine. Why does everybody expect a high school coach to be squeaky clean when this wasn’t even illegal? People should be judged on the job they are paid to do. Carlie should not be vilified for something she did legally as an adult before she was hired at the school, and she does not lack morals for doing it. Adelle is NOT “in the right”.

Lori here is what ppl have a problem with. Well at least for me anyways. First, the school said it was ok for the coach to coach. As long as she kept quiet and did not advertise. And stay professional, which she did.
If the parents have a problem with the double standards, they should’ve brought it to the school quietly without ruining the coach. Remember, the coach did nothing wrong here. She followed the rules the school laid out. I mean, there are many different solutions the parents could’ve taken before ruining the coaches job. From other sources, this girl had no problem with the coach, that is until she wasn’t allowed to join the team next year.
The parents obvioulsy didn’t think. This whole thing is the schools fault, imo. The parents should realized there fight is with the school, not the coach. And if continuing this path would hurt the coach, then maybe its not a good idea. The parents obviously did not consider this.
The fact that their daughter did not even suspect a thing during the school year and had no problem with the coach, showed that the coach was at least profession throughout. Its the way the parents handled the situation that showed me that it was bitterness and retaliation.
