Porsche Girl Nikki Catsouras’ Car Crash Graphic Photos Lawsuit

porsche-girl-nikki-catsouras-photos

Nikki Catsouras died in a horrible car crash on Halloween 2006 after a heated fight with her father Christos Catsouras, who had taken away her car keys. The impulsive 18 year-old grabbed the keys to her father’s Porsche 911 Carrera and drove off. She ended up losing control of the vehicle at more than 100 mph and slammed it into a concrete toll booth.

The teen, who had been diagnosed with a brain cancer when she was younger and had trouble controlling impulses, died instantly but gruesome photos of the car crash have been circulation the web for almost 3 years. The photos were emailed to her father with the cruel caption “Whoohoo Daddy! Hey Daddy, I’m still alive.”

The parents Christos and Lesli Catsouras have spent a lot of money trying to sue the California Highway Patrol for leaking these photos, claiming negligence, invasion of privacy and emotional distress. The case was dismissed last year but the family appealed so the battle goes on.

We are not going to publish the disturbing and graphic photos of the crash because we prefer to remember Nikki as the beautiful girl she was. Our condolences to the family!

Just a thought - what if the family had their attorney trademark the horrid crash photos and then they could go after the sick people for copyright infringement who are currently publishing them and refusing to remove them under “Freedom of Speech”?

I don’t think that would work because they didn’t own the film that the pictures were taken with. But I will say I have seen them and they truly are horrible. It’s a shame that some people show no respect for others…or their feelings!! I always try to approach things with this in mind…how would I feel if…nikki was my daughter. The woman who started this at the California highway patrol and the person that e-mailed these to nikki’s father will be punished for their bad judgement…it’s called Karma. It’s all just terribly terribly sad!!!!

What in the world is a middle age man with a wife and 3 kids doing with a porsche 911 carrera. Is he having a mid life crisis? Those cars require skill for even an adult. This is a horrible tragedy and nothing can be done now. My heart goes out to that family.

it is horrible what happened to her and her family. it can also show young kids never act on impulse and to think about what they do before they act on them.

Makes me sick to my stomach. rest in peace Nikki. Answer me this one question please… do you think that if you got into a terrible accident and someone were to leak your pictures on the internet, that you would rest in peace after that? If you can actually answer that question. Then your a sick fuck who has no respect for someone other then YOURSELF. so you think it’s going to give u good comments that u put the pictures on there? Or infact her dad and mother can’t sleep at night without thinking about there daughter and how miserable they feel when they wake up screaming cause they see those images in there head. If you had a son or daughter would you like that? I said what i have to say.. but if i were you, i wouldn’t want to look myself in the mirror.

She gets the attention because she was young, pretty, white, and rich. Thousands of teenagers die in auto crashes each year but you don’t get the Newsweek cover on them. They rather short change the fact she was doing cocaine the night before (not the first time either) and still had it in her at the time of death. So probably an addict on top of it all.

Everyone has a story..hers was the NON-malignant tumor at the age of 3. For others it’s alcohol, drugs, not feeling loved, name them all. She screwed up, and in an unfortunate way, but put some responsibility where it belongs! Yes it’s not the best the pictures got out, but maybe the family could spend their money on driving under the influence prevention, drug abuse education, instead of untold money on lawyers trying to stop something they can’t at this point.

the only problem with the lawsuit i can see is that its putting this back out in the public eye and now those pictures are going to be back with a vengeance. this was a horrible tragedy and I urge you not to seek out those pictures. You’ll be sorry if you do. Its just sad :(

would everyone be so upset at all the comments, or think this was such a tragedy if the girl looked like MIMI from drew Carey? or if it was some kid with zits that looked like Bill Gates?

No they put up her senior pic or something to get you to latch on to her in some psych way.

She did coke and stole her dads car. Her father, the guy that gave her everything she had(food clothing, shelter) for all her life.
Cocaine , a worthless drug that no good has come from, WHAT, how many coke addicts become much of anything?? They probly had money before they started the habit.

So the “pretty girl” was fucked up to begin with and made a bad decision and could have killed a family of—, or your gramma or your dad/mom/brother/sister. Instead only one the “pretty girl” killed was herself. and YES posting these pics may keep someone else from making the same mistake!

I feel guilty even coming onto this. Bless her parents. She was beautiful.

“She was beautiful, young, and rich.” OK. So therefore, WHAT? Is it more of a shame that she got killed? Uh…., well, actually YES. But I’m not afraid to say so and you probably ARE. (That’s part and parcel of life as a member of the politically and culturally correct clique.)

This kind of an early death story is not that uncommon, but what makes it noteworthy is that she was young, pretty, and white. That’s what makes it especially attractive as a news story is she went from a position of extreme *advantage* at the beginning of her adulthood to a horrible death in an instant. It’s the extreme CONTRAST that sucks people into the story. If she was a 32 year old, overweight, homely, minority chick, a double college flunkout driving a 15 year old junker she swiped from her alcoholic loser 75-year old dad, well, who wants to read about that? A person fitting that description would not have been perceived as a winner in life’s lottery, with a long, advantaged life to look forward to.

You can wring your hands and wail over that all you want if it makes you feel any better. You can call up media people and snarl at them over why they don’t get equally as obsessed over murder, kidnapping, and accident stories which involve life’s less attractive, less fortunate people. I hope it makes you feel better for doing it, because you will make zero impact, except, maybe a smirk and an eyeroll at the other end of the phone.

If you want to argue that pretty, young, rich girls should be SCORNED or IGNORED because they already have advantages that others don’t have, then hey, good luck promoting that viewpoint. Very few people want to hear about it. But, you know you COULD lash back at the ‘lookism’ of the world by frequenting only stores who feature unattractive people in their media advertising. Let us know how that works out for you.
