2009 Biggest Loser Winner: Helen Phillips Photos
Helen Phillips beat Tara Costa and Mike Morelli for the Biggest Loser title and an amazing prize of $250,000. The 48 year-old lost 54.47% of her initial weight of 257 pounds to the current weight of 117 pounds and she can finally feel beautiful and feminine once again.
“I haven’t worn a dress in at least 10 years,” she said on tonight’s show. “It was just wonderful. I actually feel beautiful today. I haven’t felt that in a really long time.”
It wouldn’t be easy to keep a healthy weight after the show but Helen has learned some valuable lessons: “When I started, learning how to exercise and work out, and incorporate good nutrition into my diet was hard. Once I learned and got on-board, and realized how important it was, the easier it became.”

I did not like it when Helen won. She looks too skinny and not healthy at all. I did not like the fact that she voted her daughter off. I have noticed that on the show it was all about her. She did not seem real to me. I was pulling for Mike. He showed compassion when his father would lose so much weight and when he crossed the finish from the marathon he just sobbed like a baby. He is willing to help his brother lose the weight just like he did. Helen is just not that real mother. Sorry didn’t enjoy who the winner was. It make me sick.
I agree with you Vickie. Was not happy that Helen won. There should be a limit to the weight loss. Helen is unhealthy looking and way too skinny!
really interesting reading about Trailer Trash Helen – of course she’ll have boob job and then a nose job and then she’ll get rid of her husband and run off with a darling younger man – she’s nothing but a tart. …..amazing eh? Three bloody trainers she hired for herself – I didn’t see anything about bringing her daughter into the mix. She’s just a Queen of Crap!!
Helen is too old to lose that much weight. When you’re over 40, you have to be careful because it makes your face sag when you lose too much. I was in shock when they said she was at 117 pounds. I don’t know how tall she is, but she should’ve stopped at about 130 and worked more on muscle tone. I thought she looked awful, especially when she kept flapping the hanging skin on her arm near her armpit. I know age has a lot to do with it, and the other two finalists looked wonderful.
Excuse me !! But no one is to old to lose weight . You all need a reality check, I do not think she is going to run off on her husband, I think she looks great. You do not know her like I do she is a caring person and always willing to help and as for voting her daughter off its competition and DO you know she did that, then I guess ‘”you are the man” but do not judge people on your jealousy.Because it sounds like the three of you are bit by the green monster

I think they have to have plastic surgery before the finale. Where does all of the excess skin go??
