Bono Calls Elvis Presley a White N*gg*r
Charismatic U2’s frontman Bono wrote a poem in honor of The King Elvis Presley titled “American David”, which was written back in 1994 but only recorded two years ago. Bono recited his tribute to The King with some very risky/controversial rhymes for the first time on Radio 4.
Bono: “Elvis the bumper stickers/ Elvis the white knickers/ Elvis the white nigger ate at Burger King and just kept getting bigger.”
“Elvis the ecstatic/ Elvis the plastic/ Elvis the elastic with a spastic dance that could explain the energy of America.”
This doesn’t sound exactly like a tribute but it could become a great skit for Saturday Night Live. Bono just called Elvis a “fat n*gg*r”!! As some sort of apology for making Elvis turn in his grave, Bono also called him “pharoah-like”, a “genius” and a “psalmist”. That sounds much better, Bono!!
