The Cosby Show was the most popular family TV show of the 1980′s, and it is still as great today, as it was when it originally aired. The cast of the show, including the legendary Bill Cosby, got together this morning for a mini-reunion on The Today Show.

Writer Carla Sosenko, who suffers from a rare congenital disorder called Klipper-Trenaunay Syndrome (K-T), lives in Brooklyn, New York and is planning on writing her memoirs. In an article for Marie Claire Magazine, Carla explains how K-T affects her emotional and physically.

Carla writes for Marie Claire: “I was born with the rare circulatory disorder Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome (K-T), which translates differently for everyone who has it. For me, it means my right leg is larger than my left and trails slightly when I walk; my back is an uneven, fatty slab with a dense lump above the waist (which a guy in high school once called a meatball); and a gigantic port-wine stain reaches around my broad torso and down toward my right thigh. I know it could have been worse. I might have been blind; I might have needed amputation. I know that I’m lucky.”

In Marie Claire, Carla reveals how difficult her dating life is and how she finally came to terms with whom she is and how she looks after a series of dreadful dates. So instead of omitting her little imperfections and being afraid of other persons’ reactions, Carla decided to make some corrections to her dating profile.

Carla concludes: “So I’ve updated my dating profile. I don’t name my condition, I don’t describe it in detail, but there it is, a small, vague shout-out to my uniqueness (“I was born with a bizarro congenital disorder that affects my body a bit”) and an invitation to take me or leave me. Now when a guy tries to decide if I’m date-worthy, he can consider the shininess of my hair, the bands I like, and K-T. Because if I can learn to relax a little about it, to love my lumps and bumps, maybe someone else will, too.”

Number one high school basketball recruit John Wall, a point guard from North Carolina, has finally decided to follow coach John Calipari to Kentucky to play for the Wildcats.

Wall was likely going to the University of Memphis before Calipari packed up half the town and moved it to Lexington.  Once Cal left he narrowed his list down to Kentucky, Duke, and Miami.

The addition of Wall will likely give the Wildcats the #1 recruiting class in the country.

Slam Magazine first reported the news right after midnight to it’s online readers.

A couple, Dan and Sara Bell, from Dallas, Texas were ready to leave town when they decided to buy a 99-cent bag of Cheetos and finally found Jesus as ridiculous as it may sound. Jesus can be found everywhere so why not in a cheese snack…

Sara recalls the discovery. “I was putting them in my hand and I had eaten most of the ones in my hand, and one was left lying there. And I said, ‘Oh my gosh, look at this. It really looks like a person in a robe praying.’”

Dan looked over. “I said, ‘Wow, it does look like a praying Jesus.’”

They decided to name the two inch “Jesus,” which they say has “body, hair, robe and even a tiny face” but is missing a right arm, “Cheesus”. The couple has decided to make some money out of this funny inspiring Jesus-shaped Cheeto and they are going to sell it on eBay.

The 24 year-old daughter of Senator John McCain, Meghan McCain, was on Stephen Colbert to talk about the future of the Republican Party. Meghan reveals to be pro-sex, pro-life and pro-gay marriage!

Oh, she is making her Republican daddy so proud!! Meghan refuses to make any comments on her daddy’s VP candidate Sarah Palin and to lick Stephen’s face.Ok, I guess it’s pretty clear Meghan absolutely hates Palin!

The movie “Sherlock Holmes” starring Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes, Jude Law (Dr. John Watson) and Rachel McAdams (Irene Adler) hits theaters later this year on Christmas Day (December 25th, 2009).

The teaser trailer of this movie (watch video below) is causing some controversy since they seemed to have injected too much action and humor in this adaption of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel. We just hope they don’t completely ruin Sherlock Holmes for the future generations! Sherlock was not a funny action hero!!

Atlanta rapper Dolla was shot and killed at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles this afternoon. The shooting took place in the valet area of the parking garage in the popular L.A. shopping center.

Dolla, a rapper whose real name is Roderick Anthony Burton II, was shot in the head while he and another rapper, D.J. Shabbazz, stood near the mall’s La Cienega Boulevard entrance, according to Dolla’s publicist, Sue Vannasing. A friend who was with the rappers at the Beverly Center as well as a Los Angeles Police Department source also confirmed his identity to The Times.

Burton, 21, arrived at LAX from Atlanta earlier in the day and went to the Beverly Center to do some shopping, Vannasing said. Burton apparently had a dispute with some people, perhaps at the airport, she added.

“They followed him to the mall because they knew he was coming,” Vannasing said. Los Angeles police officials could not immediately confirm or deny that account.

Dolla died at Cedars-Sinai hospital which is located directly west behind the Beverly Center.  He was in town to record his first rap album.

Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker covers the latest issue of More Magazine (June 2009) and revealed how she was forced into getting nude for a scene of last season’s finale. In the interview, Mary-Louise also talked about her childhood, dating and plastic surgery. Here are some highlights from Mary-Louise Parker More interview:

On being “crippled by awkwardness” as a kid: “I never had a date in high school, not one.” But, when she arrived at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts at 17 she became an overnight success. “Every boy wanted to date me. It’s because I was at school with a bunch of artists, a bunch of freaks. It was OK to be what I was. Knowing this made me come out of myself.”

On dating as a single parent: “Some men are daunted by it, some are really attracted. I had someone ask, ‘Does this mean we can’t go out anytime we want?’ And I said, ‘Yes, that’s exactly what it means. It means you come fourth, ‘cause it’s my kids, my job, my family.’ Then she pauses and defiantly declares, “I don’t ever want to come first to anyone. It’s too much pressure.”

On her anti-plastic surgery stance: “Somebody told me that they’d read that I had all this work done and showed me a picture, and it was totally airbrushed…It made me so mad. I don’t like what that says to other women. I’m 44, and I look OK for 44. I’m not trying to look 34.”

On her complex and devious character on Weeds: “I like it the more extreme it is. Jenjii [Kohan, the series’ creator] has been amazing in surprising me.” But, she adds, “I don’t like it when it’s crass and crude for humor’s sake. And I don’t like it when it’s sentimental, when she’s a sweet mother. To me, she’s not that.”

Winner of “Survivor: Africa” Ethan Zohn was recently diagnosed with a rare form of the disease called CD20-positive Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after discovering a swollen lymph node on the left side of his chest.

“This is the ultimate game of Survivor and there’s really only one outcome, and that’s to win,” he says. “There’s no other option. I’m not getting voted out of this one.”

Jenna Morasca, Ethan’s longtime girlfriend and also a Survivor winner, is by his side through this long battle that just started with a three-month chemotherapy treatment. Ethan and Jenna have both lost parents to cancer.

A wealthy divorced 66 year-old British woman, Elizabeth Adeney, has decided to get pregnant and is the oldest woman in Britain to become a mother. Elizabeth, who used donated eggs and sperm, is set to give birth in June via a C-section and this has once again fueled the ethical debate about helping older women to conceive.

“I’m shocked by the idea of a 66-year-old woman giving birth,” says Professor Severino Antinori, specialized in fertility problems. “I respect the choice medically, but I think anything over 63 is risky, because you cannot guarantee the child will have a loving mother or family.”

“It is possible to give a child to the mother up to the age of 83, but it is medically criminal to do this,” he said, “because the likelihood is that, after a year or two, the child will lose his mum and suffer from psychological problems.”

Elizabeth declined to comment on this subject and says this was her own personal choice. I don’t want to sound too conservative but if a 60 year-old women can’t naturally have children there is a good reason for it. Mother Nature knows best!

The oldest woman to give birth was the 70 year-old Omkari Panwar from India, who had twins just last year.
