Sarah Palin vs. David Letterman: Matt Lauer Today Show Video
Sarah Palin strikes again! The former VP candidate continues to talk about David Letterman’s bad taste joke (read more and watch videos here), how David’s excuse is so lame and that he should apologize to all the young girls out there in an interview with “The Today Show” host Matt Lauer on Friday (June 12).
Palin responded, “Matt, I would say that you and anybody else are extremely naive to believe that very convenient excuse of David Letterman’s the other day. He took a couple of days for him to think of that excuse that, oh, no, he wasn’t talking about my daughter who was there with me at the [Yankees] game, the 14-year-old. Well, I think it’s a weak excuse.”
The good Governor is taking this whole situation to the extreme. Her family won’t go to the Late Show and she even hinted Letterman could not be trusted in the company of a minor. OUCH!
Palin’s statement: “The Palins have no intention of providing a ratings boost for David Letterman by appearing on his show,” the Palins said in response to the host’s invitation to sort out the mess on air. Plus, it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman.”
That sounds like a pretty serious accusation… Matt Lauer questioned her about it and Palin excuse is even lamer damn Dave’s: “Take it however you want to take it. It’s a comment that came from the heart,” she said before trying to soften its wildly over-swung blow. Willow no doubt would want to stay away from David Letterman after he made such a comment.”
Palin added: “It’s not in bad taste, it’s not in bad taste. Maybe he couldn’t be trusted because Willow has had enough of those comments and maybe Willow would want to react to him in a way that maybe would catch him off guard. That’s one way to interpret such a comment.”
Dave, just sue Palin already! Dave made an unfortunate joke and he didn’t mention names but Palin’s comment came from the heart and she is basically saying he is a pedophile.

Letterman’s ratings are tanking, so he’s resorted to making crude jokes for shock value and cheap laughs; he’s admitted as much. Palin has no obligation to reward him with boosted ratings by appearing on his show. Claiming that Letterman should sue Palin illustrates how pathetically biased you are against her; she has a right to be upset, as her underage daughter has been slandered. Letterman would be just as upset if some hack comedian took a cheap shot at his son.
She complains about a joke about her daughters says that Letterman exploited them. She exploited them first. This woman is basically your everyday attention whore.

I’ve always like letterman more than leno. He’s got a humor that’s unique. But for someone who so rigorously keeps himself and his family out of the limelight it is despicable. I hope tmz sets up camp next door!
CBS should Fire the perveted and sexually frustrated david letterman. His incessant jokes about the Palin Family make one wonder if he dosen’t have more love for Sarah than his own ‘wife’. He’s like the the little school pervert who has the hots for the cutest girl in the class, but knowing that his odds are nil, resorts to insults to gain attention for himself.
I wonder if he would be man enough to say a comment like that in front of Sarah’s husband without having to hide behind the protection of the mic and the crowd. again the little school pervert rarely speaks out when any sign of danger is present unless there are others there to fight his battles for him
Palin needs to realize and wake up! If she truly believes that self esteem really matters then she truly would have educated her daugther (Willow) not to birth a daughter/son at such a young age, yes underage child birth takes place, but providing an excuse by parents such as Palin is contempt at best!
Letterman poked fun due to Palin being in her position and her daughter stepping up and being in the political/public eye. Willow and the father have to step up and be parents. Palin step up and be the grandmother and stop playing politics, you are sending the wrong message to young mothers and fathers and grandparents.
Presidential candidate!! Yeah right, run the country but cannot control your family! Get real!!!!!
