Billy Joel, 60, and wife Katie Lee Joel, 28, have decided to end their five year marriage after thoughtful consideration and will remain friends with admiration and respect for each other, according to US Magazine.
The couple tied the knot at the singer’s 15-acre waterfront Center Island estate in Long Island, New York, back in 2004. Katie has been seen out with 36 year-old fashion designer Yigal Azrouel but their rep denies the rumors of the affair, saying “Everything is very amicable and it was just a growing apart.”
Billy Joel was previously married to business manager Elizabeth Weber and Christie Brinkley.

If he is too stupid to see that a woman 33 years younger than him is marrying him for two reasons…his money and his fame….then he deserves to lose a bunch of ching in a divorce. I saw these two on Oprah last year, and I have to say that even then it struck me as just stupid. She’s his daughter’s age, for cryin’ out loud! Why can’t these stupid men just stop at getting a little sumthin, sumthin and leave it at that? No, they marry them and then out come the boxing gloves over their money. Ridiculous.
