Breaking News: Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair is dead from an apparent murder/suicide inside a downtown condo in Nashville that the former NFL star owned. McNair was found with four gunshot wounds, with two of those to his head.
A 20-year old female, Sahel Kazemi, was found dead in the condo as well, with a single gunshot wound to her head. She was found dead laying on top of the gun. Kazemi’s sister, Soheyla Kazemi, told ESPN that McNair told her sister that he was going to get a divorce so they could get married.
McNair was married for 12 years and had four sons.
A 911 call came into police at 1:35 pm local time. McNair and a female were found dead from a gunshot to the head inside a condominium at 2nd Avenue South and Lea Avenue. Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said, “The circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths remain under active investigation.”
Police are currently not searching for any suspects but have not ruled anything out at this point.
McNair was a Pro Bowler three-times in the NFL and shared the MVP award with Peyton Manning in 2003.

UPDATE: Police have verified that McNair’s death was the result of a homicide, but they have not officially ruled on Kazemi’s death. The police are leaning towards calling Kazemi’s death a suicide. The evidence points to Kazemi killing McNair before turning the gun on herself.

No other story or report says murder/suicide, so where did you get your information?
Where’d you get the murder/suicide idea? Police and reporters on the scene are calling it a DOUBLE HOMICIDE.
You have no proof that it was a MURDER/SUICIDE! I live in Nashville and according to the police they don’t know what happened – just that Steve and a female were dead.

Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron identified the woman as Sahel Kazemi, whom he called a “friend” of McNair’s.
Autopsies were planned for Sunday.
Aaron says McNair’s wife, Mechelle, is “very distraught” and that police do not believe she is involved.
