Update: Steve McNair Memorial at LP Field
UPDATE: Sahel Kazemi Shot Steve McNair In His Sleep
The Tennessee Titans are opening LP Field, where they play their home football games, to fans who want to come to the stadium to remember Steve McNair.
From 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, fans will be able to watch a rolling video of McNair highlights on the video boards at the stadium. Fans will be able to sign a book that will eventually be presented to the McNair family, and also make a donation to the Steve McNair Foundation at the ticket office.
The funeral for Sahel ‘Jenny’ Kazemi is scheduled for Friday in Jacksonville, Florida. Kazemi moved to Nashville four years ago with her boyfriend at the time, Keith Norfleet.
McNair and Kazemi, who had been dating for several months, were both found dead from gunshot wounds on July 4th in a downtown Nashville condo.
McNair’s death has been ruled a homicide. No official ruling has been made on Kazemi’s body but police have hinted that she probably killed herself after killing McNair. Kazemi had purchased a gun two days before the incident.
Note: Admission and parking to the memorial at LP Field will be free.
