Byrd & Melanie Billings, Couple With 16 Kids Found Dead (Photos, Video)
A couple with 16 kids was shot dead at their home during a home invasion and robbery on Mobile Highway in the Beulah Community on Thursday night (July 9), according to WKRG News.
Eight of their 16 children between the ages of 8 and 14 were at the house when their parents, Byrd Billings and Melanie Billings, were shot. One of the kids heard the shots and called a family friend.
Twelve of their sixteen children were adopted and some of them had disabilities or histories of trouble with the law. Deputies are looking for three white males who flee the scene in a red, full size van.
