Live blog coverage of UFC 100 highlighted by the Heavyweight Title Fight between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir.

Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir – (Heavyweight Title Fight)

Round 1: Both men are in the octagon. Lesnar sure is one big, ugly dude.  Lesnar, ever the gentleman, refused to touch gloves to start the fight.  It’s on…!!  Lesnar starts with a strong kick to Mir’s bad knee.  He follows with a solid punch.  Lesnar has his hand on Mir’s throat. The ref is stepping in and telling these guys to speed it up, that he and the rest of us watching our bored to death.  Both men are still on the ground and the fans are booing as there is not much action, Lesnar has landed a couple of punches in between the cuddling.  Lesnar has been more active than Mir but that is not saying a whole lot. A very slow round so far.  One side of Mir’s face is already noticeably swollen. (10-9 Lesnar)

Round 2: Mir comes out smiling for round two. Maybe he knows something the rest of us don’t.  Mir goes for a guillotine and lands an elbow and knee to Lesnar in the process.  Lesnar gets Mir back on the ground, mounts him like a cheap two-dollar hooker, and Lesnar lands a big right hook to Mir.  Mir rolled to his knees and Lesnar continued an all out assault of punches to Mir that annihilated him before the referred jumps in to call it.   And it’s over -a TKO victory for Brock Lesnar.

Mir’s face is covered in blood and his family has to be thankful that the ref stepped in to end this when he did. Brock Lesnar showed massive improvement from their first fight.  He also showed that he is going to be a beast for a long time as long as he continues to train hard and use his brain in the octagon.

Some of Mir’s cornermen went after Lesnar after the knockout but they were held back. Stupid is as stupid does.  Lesnar might have ended Mir’s career tonight. It will be interesting to see how Mir will bounce back, if he decides to.  He really took a punishing tonight.  Lesnar came out cocky, refused to touch gloves, and just dominated this match from before the bell until he ended it with a non-stop punch-a-rama to Mir’s face.

Lesnar showed no class from the refusal to touch gloves with Mir before the bell to giving fans the middle finger as they booed him after his victory.  Brock should remember that there is always someone bigger, stronger, and smarter and that his day of doom will come soon.

Winner: Brock Lesnar (TKO Round 2, 1:48) to retain Heavyweight title

Lesnar improves to 4-1.  Mir is now 12-4

Georges St-Pierre vs. Thiago Alves – (Welterweight Title Fight)

Round 1: A great round with a lot of back and forth fighting and a ton of kicks. Alves right eye opened up with a cut towards the end of the round.  (10-9 GSP)

Round 2: Georges with a couple of early take downs of Alves. Then with a quick elbow to Alves nose sends blood gushing every where.  Alves escapes GSP several times and is lucky to survive the second round (10-9 GSP)

Round 3: Alves comes out very strong in the third..as strong has he has looked all night.  Alves lands several good punches and two solid kicks.  GSP isn’t really taking on much damage though.  Georges regains control and takes Alves to the mat once again. GSP is controlling the ground game.  Alves is some how able to get back to his feet only to have GSP land a solid kick to his upper body.  GSP follows the kick with a massive punch that sends Alves to the deck at the bell.  (10-9 GSP)

Round 4:  GSP once again brings Alves to the mat to start round four with a double leg tackle.  Alves escapes and leaves GSP on his back. Alves takes advantage and belays multiple punches to GSP’s head and body.  GSP escapes and both men get back to their feet.  GSP catches a kick and is able to take Alves down again. He tries several times to get a choke hold in to end the match but fails with less than 45 seconds left in the round.  Alves lucky to escape the end of this round. (10-9 GSP)

Round 5: He has done it once again, GSP starts the round by taking Alves down to the mat again after a punch by Alves.  Alves escapes and gets back to his feet only to be taken down again.  Alves is going to need a miracle from up above to pull this one off.  GSP with his third take down of Alves this round. With less than 90 seconds left this one is basically already over.  Alves has gone down more times than Paris Hilton on a first date.  Alves, a determined S.O.B., is able to endure the pounding, but loses the war.  (10-9 GSP)

WINNER: Georges St-Pierre (50-45, 50-45, 50-44) – retains Welterweight title

Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago

Round 1: Both men have entered the Octagon.  Thiago gets Fitch in the guillotine hold early on for what seems forever.  Fitch seems to be rather relaxed and wondering what he has left on the TIVO to watch.  Fitch realizing he has nothing worth watching on his DVR pulls his head free.  Fitch was rather strong in the last minute after freeing to his feet.  Not much to judge this round on though, but Thiago was on top for most of it so let’s give it to PT.  (10-9 Thiago)

Round 2: Fitch comes out strong like he finished round 1.  He is all punching and kicking as he corners Thiago against the cage.  Fitch then took Thiago to the mat but it was rather lame.  Thiago wanted to guillotine Fitch but he got back to his feet. Nice take down and start to the round for Abercrombie.  More good punching for Fitch….Thiago is hanging tough NKOTB style though.  Fitch the aggressor and way more dominant in round 2.  (10-9 Fitch)

Round 3: Final round of the night and the one that will decide this fight.  Fitch takes Thiago down to start the third round. Fitch has been dominating since the last minute of the first round.  Thiago escapes and is able to put Fitch on his back.  Fitch once again comes out on top and continues to land solid punches to Thiago.  Fitch was on top of Thiago most of the round and landed dozens of punches. This round easily goes to Fitch as will the fight.  (10-9 Fitch)

WINNER: Jon Fitch (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping – RESULT: Henderson knocks out Bisping with a nasty and devastating punch. (Henderson Wins, Round 2 – 3:20)

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher – RESULT: Akiyama beat Belcher by a split decision that many found controversial, if not fixed. (Akiyama Wins, 30-27, 28-29, 29-28)

Mark Coleman vs. Stephan Bonnar – RESULT: Coleman defeated Bonnar by a unanimous decision. (Coleman Wins, 29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Mac Danzig vs. Jim Miller – RESULT: Miller wins in a massive unanimous decision over Danzig.  (Miller Wins, 30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Jon Jones vs. Jake O’Brien – RESULT: O’Brien submits after Jones gets him in a guillotine hold in the second round. (Jones Wins, Round 2, 2:43)

T.J. Grant vs. Dong Hyun Kim – RESULT: This fight went the distance but Hyun Kim dominated it throughout and cruised to an unanimous decision over Grant.  (Hyun Kim Wins, 30-26, 30-26, 30-26)

C.B. Dollaway vs. Tom Lawler – RESULT: Lawler wins quickly with a guillotine choke against Dollaway. (Lawler Wins, Round 1 – O:55)

Matt Grice vs. Shannon Gugerty – RESULT: Gugerty defeated Grice with a guillotine choke hold (Gugerty Wins, Round 1 – 2:36)

Not only is Lesner a poor sportsman, he lacks class in every regard. It’s one thing to “hype up” a fight, but in this case, Lesner proved how “backwoods” he really is — from the beginning of the fight (not touching gloves) all the way to his response to the audience, his combativeness with the people in the ring after the fight, the Budweiser comment when interviewed with Joe Rogan, and the finale … let’s wait for it … “Hell, I might even climb on top of my wife tonight.” He shows a CLEAR and total lack of disrespect for EVERYONE.

Apology not accepted les-bhbl-baby huey broch les(ner) conduct unbecoming of a professional! And most definitely unbecoming of a professional that calls himself a champion! You say you have no respect for others, that is only because “you have no respect for yourself!” You want others to respect you and treat you like a champion, and you wonder why you have no fans. Where did you get that conduct from bhbl, who trained you, who is your trainer, tim saliva? He wonders the same thing. You may have the belt and you wear it the same way saliva did, “with no pride, dignity or respect. But you are a long way from being a champion! You are a disgrace to MMA and anyone out there that thinks otherwise is lying through their teeth.
