Caspian Airlines: Iran Plane Crash Kills 169

A Caspian Airlines plane that was traveling from Tehran, Iran to Yerevan, Armenia crashed near the city of Qazvin in northwestern Iran at 11.33 a.m. (local time) on Wednesday (July 15). The plane crashed only 16 minutes after take-off from the capital’s Imam Khomeini International airport.

Local TV stations are reporting that all the 150 people on board are dead, while other sources say there were 153 passengers and 16 crew members on the passenger aircraft when it crashed.
