Billy Bob Thornton was one of several celebrities in attendance at the 80th MLB All-Star Game in St. Louis on Tuesday night.  Billy Bob sat on the fourth row right next to the National League dugout.  Billy was very cordial with the fans, especially upon his 6th inning exit, where he responded to cheers, waved, and gave high fives to several people on his way down the VIP tunnel.

Thornton is almost always more than kind with his fans.   I first met him on the set of The Badge nearly five years ago in Louisiana.  He took time to talk to all of us in between takes, and he did his best to blend in and just be one of the guys.

Thornton was in St. Louis for most of the weekend and played in the Celebrity Softball Game on Sunday night.  He played high school baseball and eventually earned a try out with the Kansas City Royals before a broken collar bone derailed his dream.  Billy Bob grew up in Arkansas as a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
