Tony Romo met Natalie Smith, the daughter of the associate athletic director at Romo’s alma mater, Eastern Illinois University, backstage at a Jessica Simpson concert on February 6, 2009. Tony introduced her to Jessica then. Natalie said, “We hung out for, like 10 to 15 minutes, backstage. She was cool and nice.”

Tony and Natalie hit it off quickly and started exchanging flirty texts message (sexting!) while Tony was still dating Jessica. It has been said the two were having an emotional affair for months before Tony finally dumped Jessica right before her 29th birthday.

The lovebirds are not officially dating but said to be involved in an intimate relationship. An insider revealed, “They’ve always flirted and texted each other. They had phone conversations one to two months before the breakup.”
