Barack Obama, the 44th and first African-American President of the United States of America, celebrates today (Tuesday, August 4, 2009) his 48th birthday. Happy Birthday, Mr. President!

Barack Obama was born (August 4, 1961) in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, to Stanley Ann Dunham, an American of mainly English descent from Wichita, Kansas, and Barack Obama, Sr., a Luo from Nyanza Province, Kenya. Barack married Michelle Robinson (Michelle Obama) on October 3, 1992, and the two have two daughters, Malia Ann (11) and Natasha “Sasha” (8).

The famous wax museum Madame Tussauds in New York celebrates this special day with a party held in the Oval Office with Oprah Winfrey and former President Bill Clinton.
