Bill Clinton In North Korea: Free Laura Ling & Euna Lee (Photos)
Former President Bill Clinton made a surprise visit to North Korea where he met with leader Kim Jong Il in a “solely” mission to free the two American journalist, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, sentenced to 12 years of hard labor in a North Korean prison (read more here).
After a long conversation with Clinton, Kim Jong Il pardoned Laura Ling and Euna Lee and ordered their release from prison earlier today (August 4) but demands a visit from a high-profile emissary and an apology.
Laura’s sister Lisa Ling said, “Everything is just so delicate. We’re going to wait it out a while longer. We’re on pins and needles.” Indeed! However, I think Clinton just open the doors to communication and we have faith Laura and Euna will return home real soon!
