I heard you can talk to one for FREE through social services, if you can't afford it. I've also heard you can get free medication there as well. I've also felt alone, and depressed for years but that's it. I don't believe in harming people unless it's self defense. : ) I did see a therapist and take medication for a while. It helped me personally a great deal. Anyway, it is extremely sad and disturbing that this kind of thing has to happen. As far as his lack of dating/sex... he could have been too selective. He mentioned he was almost 50 but a lot of the women he wrote about were in their teens and twenties... Young Women. He also made comments about who he found ugly. I obviously don't know if he asked women out who were closer to his own age but that can make all the difference. Sometimes it helps a great deal if you're open minded with people who are closer to your own age and are not "classically good looking." I'm 30 year old woman who found a guy just over 40 within my neighborhood. He is not "classically attractive" and he has his problems but so do I and we get along MOST of the time. We really Truely Love each other, and it's very hard to come by. Anyway, my point is, you can find someone who is a GOOD PERSON... who loves you for YOU... but you can't expect them to be perfect. You need to be Open Minded! :o) If you want only "perfect 10s" who are brilliant, funny, and Beautiful/Handsome all rolled in one... you will ALWAYS be disappointed. No One is Perfect. Be open to people who DO NOT have ALL the qualities you're looking for... you THEN will find a nice person to be with. Sad, sad, sad. Even as I write this, I wonder how many others are out there, marinating in their private anguish and plotting to terminate it in the same way that Sodini terminated his. The unfortunate part of this story is that he was so alone in a place so big. Was he so isolated that he really didn't talk to anyone in the "real" world or was he just that troubled? We may never know... but nevertheless I do hope he is at peace now with the Lord. My prayers go out to his family and family of the victims from his shooting. And I hope that the next time someone is reading something like his blog that they reach out to the individual writing or forward it on to someone who can help.
