Senator Edward ‘Ted’ Kennedy Dead at 77

BREAKING NEWS: Mass. Senator Edward ‘Ted’ Kennedy has died at the age of 77 from brain cancer.  Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in May 2008.  Kennedy passed away in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.

Kennedy was the brother of former President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert ‘Bobby’ Kennedy.  Ted was the youngest of the nine Kennedy children born to Joseph and Rose Kennedy.  He was first elected Senator back on November 6, 1962.

The ‘Lion of the Senate’ is with us no longer.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Kennedy family.
