Ted Kennedy Jr. & Barack Obama Eulogy At Ted Kennedy Funeral (Photos, Video)
Edward ‘Ted’ Kennedy Jr. and President Barack Obama amongst others paid their last tribute to Senator Edward M. Kennedy (aka Ted Kennedy), who died after a long battle with brain cancer last week, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica on Saturday (August 29).
Kennedy’s son, Ted Jr., delivered a very emotional, heartfelt remembrance of his dad ending with one of his most famous lines: “The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dream will never die.” (watch video below)
Obama spoke highly of his friend and colleague Ted Kennedy, describing him as “a champion for those who had none; the soul of the Democratic Party; and the lion of the U.S. Senate.” (watch video below)
Also at the funeral service were former US Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter, former Vice Presidents Al Gore and Dan Quayle, Vice President Joe Biden, Senator John McCain and family members like California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is married to Kennedy’s niece Maria Shriver, Victoria Kennedy, Kennedy’s widow and her son Curran Raclin. (photos below)
