DJ AM Funeral Details, DJ Died From An Accidental Overdose
Adam Goldstein aka DJ AM, who was found dead in his apartment, has apparently died from an accidental overdose possibly a result of his dependency to Xanax and other drugs used to treat anxiety (benzodiazepines), according to TMZ.
The recent break up with girlfriend Hayley Wood apparently had nothing to do with his death. DJ AM did not commit suicide. The 36 year-old had recently ironically contributed for a new MTV reality show, which focused on drug abuse (watch video here).
AM, who had been sober for ten years, developed anxiety over flying, which was often required for his job, after surviving a deadly plane crash last year. The benzodiazepine meds to treat it could have caused AM’s recent relapse and the mixture of the meds with crack cocaine was possibly fatal.
DJ’s body has been released to his family after the autopsy and DJ AM’s funeral should take place in California till the end of the week. We will keep you informed and will update as soon as more information is available.
